FAQ
Does it hurt?
Not at all! The welding process is quick and completely painless. A small spark is used to fuse the chain, but there is no direct contact with your skin.
What chain options do you offer?
We offer a beautiful selection of Sterling silver, 14K gold-filled, and, on request, 9K solid gold chains, ensuring there's something for every style and budget.
Can I add charms to my jewellery?
Yes! We have a range of Sterling silver, 14K gold-filled, and gold-plated Sterling silver charms available to make your piece truly unique.
How long does the process take?
The welding process is quick and takes around 15–20 minutes per piece, including fitting and welding.
What if I need to remove my chain?
If you ever need to remove your permanent jewellery, you can simply cut it at the welded link with scissors or nail clippers. Keep the chain, and we can re-weld it for a small fee.
Will my jewellery set off Airport security?
No, fine chain jewellery typically does not set off metal detectors, so you can travel worry-free!
Can I wear my chain every day?
Yes! Our high quality chains are designed for daily wear, including in water, so you can shower, swim, and live your life without worry.
I play sport and have to remove all jewellery, do you offer clasped versions that I can remove?
Permanent jewellery offers a unique way to design a chain that means something personal but might not be practical for everyone, so we offer the same experience to customise you chains and charms and for a small fee we will add a clasp to allow you to remove it when needed.
What if my chain breaks?
If your chain breaks at the weld point, we will reweld it for free within 30 days. If it breaks elsewhere or after this period, we can repair it for a small fee.
How should I look after my jewellery?
- Avoid excessive exposure to lotions, perfumes and chemicals.
- Jewellery can be washed gently with a soft toothbrush and dish soap.
